Off-Road Vehicle Repair & Builds

Off-Road Builds, Lifts & Suspension in Ellensburg

Lifts, suspension, wheels and tires, and complete off-road builds, set up to drive right on the street and on the trail.

A lift should work for the way you drive, not just the way the truck looks parked. Bigger tires, more ground clearance, a different stance and better control can mean different parts and different tradeoffs. Crossroad Garage builds and repairs off-road vehicles in Ellensburg, including lift-kit installation and suspension work. Our Auto & Diesel Performance & Repair shop helps connect the suspension plan to the rest of your build. Tell us whether you are building a daily driver, towing truck, trail vehicle or overlanding setup so the plan starts with the right priorities.

Start with the vehicle and the goal

Before selecting a kit, we need to know the year, model, drivetrain, current suspension and intended tire size. Wheel width and offset matter too. A tire that fits one setup may rub on another, even with a similar advertised lift height. Let us know how you use the vehicle, what you carry, and whether the suspension has already been modified.

Lift height is only one part of the decision. Steering geometry, suspension travel, shock selection, brake-line routing and driveline angles may also need attention. Existing worn parts can affect how the finished vehicle drives. A suspension project is a good time to discuss those issues instead of expecting a new kit to correct every handling problem.

Off-road builds, lifts and suspension services

  • Lift-kit installation planning and fitment review.
  • Suspension and steering inspection and repair.
  • Shock and related suspension-component selection.
  • Wheel and tire fitment discussions for the intended setup.
  • Alignment service and review of the adjustments a changed suspension may require.
  • Off-road vehicle builds, repairs and overlanding project planning.
  • Review of supporting parts and clearance concerns before the project is scoped.

Choose a combination, not a height alone

For a daily driver, comfortable road manners and predictable steering may matter more than maximum lift. A tow vehicle has different priorities from an unloaded weekend truck. Trail and overlanding setups also need to account for equipment weight and how the vehicle is used. We can talk through those priorities before you commit to parts.

Browse our Suspension & Chassis category and Carli Suspension catalog to see available product options. Vehicle-specific fitment still needs checking. A catalog listing is not a promise that the part is in stock, compatible with your vehicle or included in a shop installation. If you already have a kit, send its exact part number before scheduling work.

Build the whole off-road vehicle

Suspension, gears, axles and tires should work together. We build off-road vehicles, not just install a lift and leave the rest of the combination out of the conversation. Brakes, tires and general maintenance remain everyday shop services too, so discuss existing wear or concerns alongside the upgrades.

Think through the supporting changes

Larger tires can change the effective gearing and how a vehicle accelerates or behaves under load. Additional weight can change suspension needs. Depending on the setup, the project may need more than springs or spacers. We will discuss the requested work and what needs checking before you decide how far to take the build. The goal is a clear scope, not a collection of parts that do not work together.

Ellensburg shop, regional project inquiries

Find us at 1607 W. Dolarway Rd, Building 1, Ellensburg, WA 98926. We welcome customers from Ellensburg and Kittitas County, plus Yakima, Wenatchee and the wider Central Washington area. Please contact the service team before traveling. Parts availability, the vehicle's condition and the agreed work affect scheduling; an inquiry does not reserve a bay or guarantee same-day completion.

Lift-kit and suspension FAQs

How much lift do I need for my tires?

There is no reliable answer from tire diameter alone. We need the vehicle, tire dimensions, wheel specifications and current setup. The intended use and required clearance matter as well.

Will a lift change how my truck drives?

It can. Ride quality and steering depend on the kit, shocks, geometry, tires and installation details. Tell us what you want to improve and which tradeoffs you want to avoid.

Can I bring parts I already bought?

Ask before booking. Send the manufacturer and part numbers so we can discuss compatibility, completeness and whether the requested work is a fit for the shop. Do not assume installation is approved simply because a kit has arrived.

How do I get started?
