Diesel & Gas Fuel Systems
Diesel & Performance Fuel Systems in Ellensburg
Lift pumps, injectors, injection pumps, filtration and performance fuel upgrades, diagnosed and installed in our Ellensburg shop.
Everything an engine does depends on clean fuel at the right pressure and volume. At Crossroad Garage in Ellensburg, we diagnose fuel system problems and install fuel system upgrades for diesel trucks and gas performance builds, with the parts matched to the vehicle and how it is used.
Fuel system diagnostics
Low rail pressure, hard starts, rough running, smoke and loss of power under load can all point to the fuel system, but they can also come from somewhere else. We test supply and rail pressure, check filters, lines and pumps, and find the cause before recommending parts.
Diesel lift pumps
A lift pump keeps the injection pump fed with steady pressure and volume. We install lift pump systems from FASS, AirDog and similar brands, sized for the truck and its fuel demand, with the mounting, wiring and fuel line routing done right.
Injectors and injector replacement
Worn or failing injectors can cause hard starts, misses, smoke and fuel in the oil. We diagnose injector problems and replace injectors as a set or individually, depending on the condition of the system. On performance builds, injector choice is planned with the turbo, fuel supply and transmission.
Injection pumps: CP3, CP4 and conversions
We repair and replace high-pressure injection pumps, including CP3 and CP4 pumps. For trucks with a CP4, we can discuss a CP3 conversion and what supporting parts it needs. If a pump has failed, we also check the rest of the fuel system for contamination before the new pump goes in.
Filtration, water separators, lines and sumps
- Fuel filter service and upgraded filtration.
- Water separators to protect pumps and injectors.
- Larger fuel lines and fittings for higher fuel demand.
- Tank sumps and pickup upgrades for steady supply.
Gas performance fuel upgrades
Big gas builds need fuel systems that keep up. We plan and install higher-capacity pumps, larger injectors and return-style fuel systems for high-output gas engines, as part of the whole combination. See performance builds and Dyno Testing for how we plan and verify complete builds.
Related diesel work and parts
Fuel system work often goes with engine or transmission work. See diesel engine builds and repair and diesel transmission builds and repair. Fuel system FAQs
My truck is hard to start. Is it the injectors?
It could be, but low supply pressure, a failing lift pump, air in the system or a clogged filter can cause the same symptom. We test before replacing parts.
Do I need a lift pump?
Many diesel trucks benefit from a lift pump, especially with added fuel demand. We will look at your truck, its current setup and its use before recommending one.
Can you check fuel delivery on the dyno?
Yes. Dyno Testing lets us check how the fuel system holds up under real load.
