Diesel Engine Builds & Repair in Ellensburg

We build diesel engines in our own shop, from diagnosing a problem engine to a complete rebuild planned around how you use your truck.

A diesel engine project should start with what the truck needs to do. A truck that tows through Central Washington every week needs a different plan than a weekend build. At Crossroad Garage in Ellensburg, we build diesel engines in-house and handle diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Tell us how the truck is used, what it is doing now and what you want from it.

Diagnose first, then decide

Not every symptom means an engine needs a rebuild. Low power, smoke, coolant loss, oil consumption or noise can have several causes. We start by finding out what is actually wrong, then talk through whether a repair, a partial rebuild or a complete build makes the most sense for the truck and your budget.

In-house diesel engine builds

When an engine comes apart in our shop, we look at the whole combination, not just the failed part. Before work is approved, we discuss the scope, the parts, the supporting components and what to expect. A rebuild is a chance to address known weak points with a plan, not a reason to replace sound parts without one.

Diesel engine services

  • Diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
  • In-house diesel engine rebuilds and builds.
  • Turbocharger replacement and upgrade planning.
  • Injector and fuel-system repair and upgrade planning.
  • Lift pumps, filtration and fuel-supply components matched to the application.
  • Intake, charge-air and cooling work with attention to fitment and supporting parts.

Plan the engine with the rest of the truck

Airflow, fuel supply, cooling and the transmission all have to work with the engine. Before choosing parts, we need the year, engine, transmission, current modifications and intended use. If you are also planning transmission work, see our diesel transmission builds and repair page.

Parts that fit the plan

Our online catalog includes SunCoast Diesel, PPE, FASS Fuel Systems, AirDog and S&S Diesel Motorsport, plus fuel-system parts and turbochargers. A brand in our catalog does not mean every part fits your truck. Contact the service team before ordering parts for a shop project so we can confirm compatibility and scope.

Diesel engine FAQs

Does my engine need a full rebuild?

Not always. It depends on what failed, the engine's condition and how the truck will be used. We diagnose the problem and discuss the options before recommending a rebuild.

Can I bring parts I already bought?

Tell us about any parts already purchased or installed before booking. We will discuss whether they fit the plan and how they affect the work.

Can you also handle regular service?

Yes. Brakes, tires and general maintenance are part of our everyday shop work, and keeping the basics in good shape supports a reliable truck.
