ARP 250-4301 head stud kit for the 2011-2023 Ford 6.7L Power Stroke. ARP cylinder head studs are rated at 220,000 psi tensile strength and provide the clamping force needed to keep the cylinder heads from lifting under higher combustion pressures, the best insurance against head gasket failure on a tuned or hard-working diesel. The studs are made from ARP’s proprietary ARP2000 material, heat-treated before the threads are rolled for optimum fatigue strength, and centerless ground for perfect concentricity.

Even mild upgrades on a 6.7L Power Stroke raise cylinder pressure quickly, so head studs are smart preventative maintenance. Unlike torque-to-yield factory head bolts, studs are installed hand tight and the nut does the clamping, so the load is pure tension with no twisting. That gives a more even, repeatable clamp load, and the studs are reusable.

Installation Notes

• Chase the block threads with ARP thread chaser 912-0008 (M12 x 1.75)
• Install studs hand tight only; the hex broach is for installing/removing, not for torque
• The shorter M12 studs go in positions 11, 13, 15 and 17
• Test fit the valve covers for stud clearance before final assembly
